Introduction

In 20 years of traveling I have never visited a country that has super friendly and hospitable people, its safe and comfortable to travel and has such a natural diversity. Iran is truly a hidden gem, a traveler's paradise.
The best part about it is - you can all do it easily by yourself.

Iran is easy and comfortable to travel around

From other countries I was used to aggressive touts, scams and transportation that was a pain to move around. Not in Iran. You can travel in comfortable VIP buses that leave on time for couple of euro. There are virtually no touts trying to push you into tours. Simply a destination with very little hassle compared to other countries.

And did I mention that for taxi rides, you can use an app in English so that you don´t have to argue about the fare with taxi driver? One liter of gas costs close to nothing, bus ticket for VIP bus is couple of euro and Iran has reliable airlines that offer flights to most of the bigger cities for as little as 30 euro?

Superfriendly people

While traveling in Iran, you will be stopped countless times asked to join a cup of tea, greeted by local people all the time, followed by "Welcome to Iran". After some time in Iran I replied "Thanks you, its a beautiful country" and their smile got even bigger. My experience is that the Persian people which make up the majority of Iran and generally all people that I met on my travels through Iran were always smiling and trying to solve everything in a calm and positive way. Anger or violence is simply not in their nature.

Iran is safe

Don´t worry - Iran is much safer than most Western countries. Police officers don´t even wear a gun on them and there is only one more country in the world I know of where police don´t wear guns - and that is Norway. I have been doing some treks on my own, walked the streets in the night, enjoyed the local bazaars and never felt unsafe.

The book will help you visit the best photogenic locations by yourself. My only advice would be: visit Iran before everyone else does. I loved my stay and I hope you do yours.
